Nutrition
Our center offers catered hot a nutritious meals plus snacks daily. We provide our clients with daily monitoring, counseling and nutritional material and education. The nutritional status and dietary needs of each client is evaluated by a Registered Dietitian upon admission to the program with quarterly evaluations of the interdisciplinary care plan team.
Prescriptions
Our center had established protocols to ensure that each client’s prescriptions shall be ordered so the physician’s medication regimen can be followed. All prescriptions are filled and delivered daily.
Recreational Activities and educational programs
Therapeutic and Diversional Activities are provided by our specialized and certified therapist. Our daily activities are designed to stimulate and engage each client according to their functioning level in a wide-range of activities and programs of their daily preference. We offer activities such as low impact exercises and walking club, bingo, meditation and relaxation program, yoga, dance and music, cooking and happy hour clubs, dominoes, pool table, card and table top games, computer and internet, religious groups, arts and crafts, current events, movies, fun and games, restaurant and shopping mall outings, discussion groups, field trips, birthday parties, entertainment, one to one as needed etc… We also provide educational programs through our local museums and libraries.
Nursing
The Center’s nursing staff monitors each consumer’s health status and performs care management with the consumer's primary care physician and other members of the interdisciplinary care plan team. Under the direction and supervision of our registered nurses our staff provides the following care:
- Monitor vital signs.
- Assist making medical appointments and perform needed follow ups.
- Track all consumer medications, diet and medical problems.
- Procure, or arrange for the procurement of, all medications.
- Perform consumer education: diet, medical condition and prescriptions.
- Triage health status during a medical crisis.
- Perform emergency medical treatments as needed.
- Administer medications as needed.
- Perform treatment modalities as prescribed by a physician.
- Assist with personal care and Activities of Daily Living (ADL's).
